Brook Trout :
Throughout the UP in streams and rivers and cold deep lakes with water inflow. Best fishing is is the small cold water tributaries that feed into many of the streams and rivers of the UP. Marquette County has several cold water lakes that hold brook trout in the Pesheeke river area north of Lake Michigamme. Season opens last Saturday in April thru Sept 30th.
